Building Futures Now (BFN) believes that helping students attain a high quality education through college is the key to economic opportunity and becoming engaged and productive members of their community. The following highlights demonstrate current achievements.

Academic Skills

  • 740 hours of learning achieved year-round through afterschool and summer school
  • 83% of our 9th graders started high school reading above grade level

21st Century Skills

  • 71% of students demonstrate improvement in focus, preparation, effort, organization and time management
  • 86% have positive peer affiliations with other BFN students

Family Engagement

  • 76% average attendance at monthly educational parent workshops
  • 100% of parents volunteer their time at BFN Partner Support

Our students are motivated children from low income and/or first generation college-bound families. They may not enter the BFN program as the top achievers in their class, however they are motivated to learn and make a difference in their educational opportunity.
